Founder’s Constitution
For Building the Legacy
I. On First Principles
- I will build a business rooted in profit, not hope.
- I will make real things for real people, at a real profit.
- I will never depend on external funding to survive.
- Growth must be earned, not bought.
- Every rupee must work harder than me.
II. On Customers
- The customer is my first, last, and only true boss.
- I will serve them with excellence, humility, and honesty.
- If I take care of the customer, the customer will take care of me.
III. On Frugality and Resourcefulness
- I will despise waste.
- I will act as if every rupee is sacred.
- I will favor simplicity over complexity, reality over image, results over noise.
(As Charlie Munger said: “The best armor against financial stupidity is frugality.”)
IV. On Ethics and Reputation
- I will trade short-term temptations for long-term trust.
- I will never cheat, never deceive, never pretend.
- My word is my bond. My handshake is my contract.
- Reputation is a lifetime building project — one misstep can destroy it.
V. On Systems and Scale
- I will build systems, not empires of personality.
- The company must function without my daily heroism.
- I will design simplicity into the fabric of the business, so complexity does not silently kill it.
VI. On Skin in the Game
- I will never ask others to take risks I am not willing to take myself.
- If there is upside, I will share it. If there is downside, I will own it.
- (As Nassim Taleb said: “If you see fraud and do not say fraud, you are a fraud.”)
VII. On Anti-Fragility and Endurance
- I will welcome small difficulties, shocks, and mistakes — they make me stronger.
- I will avoid fragile strategies: no overleveraging, no gambling, no betting my survival.
- I will always keep dry powder (reserves), staying prepared for winter even in the summer.
- Strength comes from resilience, not scale.
VIII. On Legacy
- I will plant trees whose shade I may never sit under.
- I will think in decades, not quarters.
- I will measure success not just by profits, but by character, impact, and dignity.
- I will leave behind a business — and a life — that future generations will be proud to inherit.
Daily Closing Oath
“I build slowly. I build carefully.
I build honestly. I build for centuries.
I serve my customers, honor my word, and protect my company like a living being.
I plant oak trees, not weeds.
Today, and every day, I build the Legacy.”
